It's just two of us this time, so the development is probably going to be a bit more efficient. I'm programming this time, and we'll be using GameMaker Studio 2.

Congrats, and good luck! I'm a long-time LD participant, but I decided to sit out this year because migranes and existing busy-ness. Definitely doing #40 though!

How do you feel about that Theme? And good luck on your project!

We came up with a really solid concept. It's time to see if we can pull it off though, because oops ive never used game maker

it seems really good at making stuff quickly though

The theme this year is Running out of Energy, and there's plenty of ways to interpret that. So we may see a good variety of games this season

I've got some really good jumping and movement physics, now I just need to work on combos and... actually introducing the part that follows the theme

You should make the sprite flip with direction (unless that's just a temp sprite)

I was implementing some collectible energy particles, but this happened when I tested it without writing the code for actually collecting them

its a bit flashy
