William: Wow, what is this place?

Tori: This is your dream realm, also known as the Land of Limbo and Crimson

Tori: Realms serve as a sort of afterlife, people who have passed away will appear here, and eventually turn into monsters

Tori: There's a small chance of anyone coming across these realms when sleeping, but you are special william, in the sense that you are a guardian.

William: A guardian? What's that?

Tori: You can visit this land every time you fall asleep, and you, along with whoever else wakes up here, are supposed to protect and conquer these lands from any dangerous monsters, as well as befriending and protecting friendly monsters.

Tori: Most likely! It would be interesting to search for them soon, and I'd guess that you probably already know them in some way.
