We of the Blades of Altea are an independent military unit led by Alabaster the Crucible. Our mission is to ensure the safety of the peoples who lie within the lands of Ala'altea. Our reach extends beyond the borders of the Five Domains to help the people in need. Currently, we are splitting our forces into five units to attend to the needs of the Five Domains. Although three months have passed since the Pelian-Sothesian War over the central stretch of land of Ala'altea, there are still people who are under prey of maurading bandits and require our protection and help as they recover from the war. We will also extend our resources to help the people with any task they need that they cannot ask for from their respective lords.

May the blessings of Altea be upon you all.

Mission Structure

There are two modes that occur in each mission.

Standby Mode

Here, you will be given a short brief of your situation, then you are left to go about your way. In this mode, you are allowed to interact with anything on the map. Each person will state an action they wish to do. Once everyone has decided what to do, I will return the results of your actions. When a certain amount of time has passed, or if a certain action is done, then Battle Mode will begin.

Battle Mode

During Battle Mode, you and the enemys will take turns in combat. During Player Turn, each member of the squad will have the chance to post their move and action. Once they have declared an action, the others must wait until the results of that action is given. Player Turn will end once each character has completed each of their actions. During Enemy Turn, the enemies will make their moves one by one. Player Turn and Enemy Turn will alternate until either the Players complete their objective or if the Players all die.

Sothesia
Chapter 1: A Festival in Ruins

It has been three months since the Pelian-Sothesian War ravaged the central territories. While the kingdoms themselves have come to a truce, conflict still resides in the lands. People who were once neighbors now fear each other. Bandits and thieves prey the war-torn villages. Despite the best efforts of both kingdoms to provide relief, they are able to do very little to help the people as they are mired in their own laws and bureaucracy.

It is here that the Blades of Altea shine. Their mission, to help the peoples of all of Ala'altea, is blind to borders and regulations, allowing them to send out aid to people as far as they can reach. Soon, a new generation of Blades will rise to carry out the deeds to aid the people in any way they can. Here, in the town of Arborvale, they will meet, and under the guidance of Alabaster, they will soon begin their journey.

At least, if they actually arrive on time.

Confound it! Where are they? It's already three hours past the ninth! When in Altea's name are they arriving?!"

Alabaster begins pacing the central square. People whisper as they pass by him, some waving at him in recognition. Alabaster waves back in politeness, but then quickly resumes his pacing. His horse, tethered nearby, quietly watches its master as his patience quickly diminishes.

I even made sure to make the day we meet cross with the day of the Arbor Festival! Where are they?

OH IT'S ALABASTER

---

Iremia emerges from behind Alabaster's horse in a spectacular manner. "Hey there!" she says cutely
Alabaster is astonished by Iremia's grace and beauty: "Myy... my GOODNESS you're so AWESOME! I forgive you for being late!"
Iremia: "thank you sir! So what do you want me to do?"
Iremia flexes her muscles.
Alabaster blinks and stutters, "why why... I can't remember! Something about a festival? Why you have me so awestruck!"
Iremia thinks for a moment and easily deduces what her mission is.
but- she won't say it because she is kind and doesn't want to embarass poor Alabaster further~

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Sorma waves cheerily to the guard at the gate as he saunters into Arborvale four hours after he was due. The guard glowers.

He nods his head respectfully to the villager leaning against the wall, who eyes him suspiciously and turns away. Sorma is used to this and contemplates setting the man's cloak on fire. He does not.

In the square is a stunned Paladin and an absurdly musclebound young woman. Sorma suspects these are his compatriots and heads over.

"Sorma, mage, reporting for duty, Mr. Paladin guy! How about them trees?"

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
A door leading into one of the seemingly innocent houses swings open and Gotel walks out with a mug clasped in his hands. One of the local families had been nice enough to give him a place to stay. He takes a few moments for his eyes to adjust to the light. He takes a final sip of his drink and sets it down on the porch. With one hand shading his brow the archer blinked blearily at the sun trying to determine the hour. His eyes went wide when he realized how late he was.

"Ah crap. Why am I always late for the first day on the job?"

Luckily he quickly spotted Alabaster, Sorma, and Iremia gathering. He correctly surmised that this must be the group he was supposed to be meeting up with. He was thankful that the group was apparently still gathering.

Still gathering meant he had time to finish his drink. He drank the rapidly warming ale slowly, enjoying it all. He had a feeling that drink was a luxury he wouldn't be able to indulge in much with this outfit. Finally he set the cup down and wiped his lip on his shirt.

He had a smile on his face as he joined the rest of the group. No mages yet that he could tell. This would be the best job ever if that held. He stopped in front of Alabaster and looked the intimidating Paladin up and down. "You must be the new boss. I'm Gotel. Pleased to meet'cha all."

Three people. A delusional large woman, a brutish-looking man, and a drunkard. And there were still two people missing.

Despite his calm outward demeanor, Alabaster was slightly panicking. Did his recruitment campaign fail? Were people simply not interested in joining the Blades? But as he saw the three approach him and greet him, Alabaster decided to make best with what he did. He had to show them what being the leader of the Blades meant. And he would welcome three new comrades proudly.

Welcome, Iremia, Sorma, and Gotel! I am Alabaster, leader and founder of the Blades of Altea. I have gathered you here today so that we can meet in a lighter atmosphere. However, understand that in undertaking this task, you will spend most of your time working hard to help and protect the peoples. We will ignore no plea for help from any resident of Ala'altea, for the Goddess Altea freed all people from the darkness.

Before we begin, I must ask you a personal question. You all are warriors of great prowess and skill. Why have you chosen to lay your allegiance not to a Domain but to the Blades?

Sorma snorts at "great prowess and skill"; he's only been flinging fire for a month now.
[Image: 3dCupKa.png]: Well I couldn't stay in the Pelian Wyvern Corps after I fell off my wyvern. Figured this is fine too. Hopefully you're a bit more easygoing than my old commander, although looking at your posture I ain't optimistic.

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Gotel looked at the Paladin for a few moments before responding. "Because bein' a mercenary is all I've ever been good at I suppose. I've tried just about all of it, and shootin' arrows into people just seems to come natural." He paused and his ever present smile widened a bit. "I figure if that's my role in life then I may as do somethin' constructive with it for once."

I can see that you each have your reasons. I will say this however. While the Blades of Altea are an independent outfit, we are still an army. That means you should expect as much rigor in the field as much as you did in your previous occupations. We are not a charity, nor are we doing this for fun. We are guided by Altea herself, and we must do our best to protect the peoples no matter the situation. Now, I will first lead you to the village of Denn where we will--

A sudden flash in the sky attracts Alabaster's attention, directing his and the others' gaze towards the mountains.

By Altea's name...

Suddenly, the sky flashes with a fiery explosion as the ground quaked beneath their feet. The citizens of Arborvale scatter in fear, abandoning their festive cheer. Both Alabaster and Iremia's steeds are just as shaken as the ground beneath them trembled with a mighty quake. Alabaster sees the chaos around him, but his eyes belied a calmness within him. With a quick tug of his reins, he calmed his steed. Alabaster then turns towards you.

Quickly! Gather the townspeople and get them to safety! This is your first task as Blades! Once you have secured the townspeople, keep watch! I'm going to see what in blazes fell from the sky!

With a loud yell, Alabaster musters his steed in the direction of the blast and rode off with great speed. You now stand there, stunned by the turn of events, but the orders of the Master of the Blades ring in your ears.

Gather the townspeople and get them to safety.

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Iremia leaps up into the air and Butterfingers swoops down from the sky to stop her from front flipping onto her face. She says to her new friends "I'll gather the townspeople and get them to safety!"

She swoops off into the window of a nearby home, spear ready for battle, shouting, "WE NEED TO GET TO SAFETY"

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Sorma watches the Pegasus Knight smash through a window waving her spear about. He glances at the archer in bemusement and sets off down the other alley at a run. The blast still echoes around the forest, so his shouts of "GET INDOORS" go largely uncomprehended. Rather, the villagers see a terrifying red-haired man waving a book around and yelling at them, backlit by the firestorm in the sky.

The man closest to him bolts into his house, casting fearful glances at the mage. The woman farther down the lane screams and follows suit.

Sorma darts through the trees at the end of the street and sees no more villagers, so he turns back the other way.

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Gotel watched the scene unfolding in front of him. He chuckled to himself. "Oh Gods, we're all gonna die if this keeps up. If I'm honestly the responsible one in this group.... well we're probably still going to die." Slowly he leaned himself off of the wall and took stock of the situation.

He saw Sorma running around like a wild man and decided to start there. He ran to the end of where his comrade was. "Alright listen big guy. Why don't you try findin' a safe lookin' place in a square or somethin'. Go there and start gettin' people together. I'll knock on doors and send them your way."

Next he looked up at what appeared to the hindquarters of a pegasus quickly becoming more concerned with it's predicament. "And you! Pegasus girl! Stop crashin' into windows or whatever. Maybe fly around and look for stragglers or somethin'. Jus' try an' make sure everyone makes it to Sorma."

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
"RIGHTO SIR!" Iremia flies out into the sky and looks down, ready to kill anything that moves
spotting some wounded and elderly stragglers, she swoops down screaming' GET INDOORS BEFORE YOU DIIIIIIEEEE"

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Sorma stares at the smirking man incredulously. "You want me to go knock on doors and tell the people who I just told to take shelter in their homes to leave their homes and stand out in the open? I don't understand you, archer man!"
#16
RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Gotel stares at Iremia flying around incredulously. He maintains that gaze even as he responds to Sorma. "Alright, I was ready to evacuate them, but I guess what you're doin' makes more sense."

He takes a moment to point up at the Pegasus Knight. "Also I get the feelin' there might be somethin' wrong with her." Finally he looks at the large man standing next to him. "Either way I'll meet you at the entrance when everyone's inside."

While he beats himself up in his head for getting the orders wrong he begins quickly moving to round up the people in the square. An arrow is nocked in his bow, and he makes sure to not break line of sight with the entrance to town.
#17
RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Sorma shakes his head in bemusement. "I have no idea what's up with that girl. I'll clear the entrance and wait for you there!"

He watches the archer set off with an arrow at the ready and decides he should probably be prepared as well - perhaps running around yelling wasn't the most ideal plan of action.

By the gate, the suspicious man appears to have hit his head on the wall. Wholly unwilling to expend energy carrying the man to a house, he pulls out a few of the unconscious man's hairs and sets them on fire just beneath his nose. The acrid scent of burning hair jogs the man awake, and he is greeted by Sorma's firelit face, which is inexplicably grinning.

The poor villager screams and bowls the swearing mage over in his sudden dash for the safety of his home. The guard has long since fled, and aside from the square, the town seems clear.

RE: Fire Emblem: Gods of the Celestial Realm
Soon, the quakes stops. Despite the tremors that took place, the area is largely undamaged, save for a few Pegasus-shaped holes in some of the houses. The villagers are also safely away from the village, leaving the three Blades recruits to search for anyone else they missed.

A lone soldier is running towards them. It is the same soldier who diligently kept watch of the front gates and had helped to guide the villagers to safety. He waves the three recruits as he approaches

Sir! The villagers are safe for now! Is there anyone we missed?

However, just as you are about to answer back, a shadow leaps behind the soldier. A large, grizzly man wielding an equally large axe grins at the sight of the empty village. His loud voice booms, causing the soldier to turn in suprise.

The soldier's corpse crumples to the ground into a lifeless heap. Blood quickly pools around as Dern steps on his fresh kill and raises his axe in the air.

BWAHAHAHA! Anothah victim o' Dern's axe! Now ta celebrate wit' a bit o' lootin'! BOYS! WE GOTS A VILLAGE T'PILLAGE.

Suddenly, five other men jump from behind the trees dotting landscape and rush towards the village. However, as they approach, they spot you, shocked at the scene that just happened. Dern the Bandit spots you and sneers.

Well, well. We gots ourselves a coupla lily-livered sprouts here. Why don't you jus' stan' aside as we make off wit' da goods?

Determination fills you eyes as you stare down the bandits, weapons at the ready. Dern spits at the ground.
