I am not familiar with the symbol on your shoulder, tally; is it just a cool thing or what? I briefly thought it was a square compass and was surprised anybody around here had masonic leanings.

It is a Correspondence Sigil from the Browser game Fallen London!
This partic one means "Forever hurtling toward the earth"
I'm a big fan of the game, and am a member of the extreme edge of the playerbase, so y'know, seemed like a good idea.

The camera was set to take like five pictures per second or something, so it got the process of actually putting on my hat. If you take them out of order, it looks like I'm trying really self-consciously to be cool, which I think is pretty funny.

There were some people unable to visualize me with long hair, back how I used to have until my final year of high school. So here's an old-ass photo, from, shit. 5 years back? 6? Back when I did the Milford track with family.
I was getting it confused with the summer after, when we did the Routeburn, but I'd already cut my hair then so this must've been late 2008/early 2009. Yeah.

That is a lot of stitching. Why are you wearing a tie? Do you wear ties while you're at home?

Well, I was going out shortly after I took the picture. Not, like, anywhere special, but I like the casual-dressy look.

What a nerd
Speaking of going out, i've been unemployed for more than a month now, so i figured it was time to shave and not look hideous; i went with this silly goatee thing. In a scale from 1 to 10 how silly does it look?

I'd go cleanshaven, honestly - I don't think the goatee compliments your professional-looking face very well.

As a beard-haver I am okay with beards; I don't think it looks silly at all.

I am a fan of goatees, but tend to think the chin-only-goatee looks a little broish. It generally only looks good on people with really narrow, angular faces, eyemo.

This is what i was mostly worried about, i'll take your comments into consideration and probably get rid of it in a week or so just because Akumu said it was okay.
(Also, professional-looking face?)

To me it feels like your face just gives off a professional air. I can't really explain why? Maybe something about the glasses and the general roundness/uniformity of the face, I'm not sure.

Looking for boots for the nerd pictured above, instead I find Slovenian parkas. So comfortable!
