It would be a lot more annoying if it wasn't on a well lit street, yes.

We had one of those lamps back on campus, 'cept it was on a sparsely lit pathway to begin with and wouldn't turn back on until you were a block away. Those lights are terrifying and I can't believe none of us were axe-murdered or other horror tropes'd under it.
