Nice! Ungroomed beards tend to look... not particularly appealing. For a long time i just let my neckbeard grow wild because i didn't care but lately i've been trying to just keep the sideburns or at least keeping it presentable. Speaking of which i think it's time for me to shave... god i hate shaving.

I was planning on keeping it groomed for a while but then I was like "nah i'll just lob the whole thing off" so now I'm just gonna keep it clean. A lot of people (and myself) think I look way better beardless.

edit: Oh yeah, the only thing is that now my narrative self-portrait I did back in January is outdated and I'm sending it off to an art show (or something, I don't remember what, my art teacher just wanted me to print it off in high quality so he could send it to something local) literally tomorrow and the damn thing has a beard.

Whatever, 90% of my self-portraits and portraits drawn by others include a bushy neckbeard.

You could just erase the beard though

The blue stuff is science in weird colour-coded cape form - different degrees have different colours. Of course, academic cloak colours differ wildly from universities within New Zealand, and they're even less consistent across countries. Dark blue (Ultramarine, in my case) is science, although it's apparently about six other things depending on where you studied, so w/evs man.

I probably can't invent stuff, Ed, but I can totally still be a scientist! I can look for things (ecological things in my case, presumably) which make me ask questions that nobody has the answer to, then start thinking about a way to answer them.

Of course in my usual devil-may-care way I am not doing Science for the next bit but instead going on a romp to Japan to do teachering, which was something I wanted to try anyway.

Doodley, you look like ten times better without a beard. I approve of this deforestation.

Also congrats Schaz. Now I can sleep easier that I know a scientist who can tell me convoluted science things in a horror situation.
