Alternatively, if lucia wants to just spend time with derrick, he could remind her about the dream world and how these people are already her friends

The class can't keep their eyes of Lucia it seems, you hear a lot of chatter about her from every side of the room. Looks like she was put beside Emily, that's good at least. You look back at Lucia and she's staring right at you with the same pouty face as outside. She really seems very uncomfortable.

You can spot a huge difference in Lucia's personality in the waking world. While asleep she was courageous, brash opinionated and frantic... But it seems now she's meek and frail... She looks to you as a place of comfort and familiarity and to hell with everything else.

But let Emily know that Lucia is in a pretty weird spot right now--having been out of the loop for 8 years--and she needs to be coaxed a bit into interacting with other people. It might help build her confidence a bit to slowly be integrated into the group rather than thrown together into things all at once.

Maybe this'll help set the stage for another cool movie weekend and Emily and Lucia can be there together with them this time!

(I’m hoping here that referencing derrick’s lunacy trigger and making it about himself would help put himself on that pedestal that Krem was talking about. That way if he does learn that Alice betrayed him in some horrible way (gramps. Lucia. Etcetera.) he’ll be able to keep himself down.)
