Funds? What funds? And what type of mission? The whole water shtick is all you've got. What are you supposed to do? Tell Tubs that, despite spending several days subjugating all these workers and siphoning off their water supply, it's okay, we don't need to bother any more? Maybe we could instead take the porthole and begin filling it with something else! Like what? Just what exactly does a normal person put in their pocket dimension around here?!

Sample? What samplOH THAT SAMPLE

The heavy maintenance worker has somehow managed to level up to a new tier of being tired of your bullshit.

Maybe it would be for the best to break off from the workers and get some water from José instead. You could even use your puddle transport to leave the Waterworks entirely and get Connie some proper medical assistance...

You pull out your radio and attempt to contact José. He picks up, saying that they lost track of the heavy maintenance worker... Most likely the one you're talking to right now.

Love the design of this crab thing

It's not the first time this sort of thing has happened to Flush.

Eh. It's a living.

However, it is the first time this has happened to Flush with the cyclone cistern!

Wait, no. This is the second time, technically. It's the second time this has happened to Flush with the cyclone cistern.

Either way, thanks to its help, Flush is able to wrench himself away from grip of the crab thing! He'll stop bouncing eventually.

Flush collides with the large glass container at breakneck speeds, but does not manage to break anything. Not even his neck.

The two of you should probably try something else.

Tubs doesn't need to be told twice! He smacks the container with enough force to cause it to explode into a mass of tentacles!

A better view on the distant battle below might be useful.

The crab thing seems to be keeping the boys in blue busy for the moment, and you've got no reason to stick around.

(Honeslty at this point I would concur. Tubs is a psychopath with a weird twisted sense of professional ethics but he's not stupid)

Whatever this thing has turned into, it's grabbed the others and is swinging them around.

And with that, the heavy maintenance worker drives the forklift back off into the machine bay. You wonder if he's going to run into the feeder and whatever else it happened to throw up while you were out here.

Either way, you've got some options. You need to get Connie to someone, but you should be able to get through the offices and hand her over to the workers. There's still the option of taking a puddle to somewhere safer, but you'll have to find one, first. And then figure out where you'll have to go after that...
