Admittedly, going with him would definitely offer more insight on to what his motives are. Although that still leaves the obstacle of getting permission to stay out late. Which is not gained easily in your past experiences. Your Guardian, Madame Berkeley, (as she very insistently requires you refer to her as (even though she isn't French)) has very high standards for how much you need to contribute around the house. She usually finds you lacking and so you never really get the chance to leave unless it's work or school related. As you check your phone you entertain the idea that you could pretend to get called in to work today and go to the movie. That would be pretty clever. She might notice a discrepancy in your paycheck though so it would definitely be risky. You don't know if it'd be worth it.

She'd likely just tell you that he wants to get into your pants. Which, in all fairness, he might. You have a hard time believing it though because, really, why would he choose you out of everyone in your class? There are plenty of more popular and certainly more pretty girls.

You shake your head and audibly sigh. Why did you have to walk through the park last night? You have enough to worry about already.

You walk up and enter the front door to your house.

As you walk towards the stairs you glance over into the kitchen and the telltale scratched-up leather jacket and striped tail that can only belong to Matt Edwards. His back is turned to you as he’s digging through the fridge. You quickly head up the stairs and beeline it to your room.

He didn't pay you any mind as you passed but there's no way he didn't hear you enter. You close your door and decide that you are going to go to that movie. Only if it's because you won't be in close proximity to Matt. You drop your backpack next to your bed and fish out your math homework. As you pull it out a crumpled up piece of paper falls out with it. Curious, you unfold it to reveal that it's your drawing. You forgot to trash it at school.

You drop it and watch as it glides to the floor. You follow its lead and sit down, leaning against your bed and hugging at your knees. You have homework to do but you doubt you could focus on it. So you’ll just sit here for a while instead.

>Best to at least try to get your homework done now rather than deal with it later.
>Yes, head out to the movies regardless of the rules. Funny thing, if you are subtle about it, and act little by little like certain rules don't apply to you, eventually the person who made said rules will mentally rewrite them so they don't.
