That's good! You will, at the very least, be able to mine for stuff to manually repair your ship. And there may be a mining station nearby if the field is large enough, and you will be able to do stuff for it in exchange for credits, and possibly reconstruct and/or buy better parts, if it is large enough.

This is illogical. As the cameras usually use 50 megawatts an hour when just reporting surroundings, there isn't a reason to lower their power from that. However, you can use less power for the control system, giving you less information on your ship but using less power. As you only really need to check on hull integrity when something is obviously very wrong and very changing, you set it to use 100 MW/h instead of the normal 200.

Well, there's the station but you already knew that. There's the asteroid field that makes up most of the sector. There's a mining station in the field named Alsciaukat, it is not affiliated with us however.

Er, yeah. In the asteroid field there's a pirate base smack-dab in the middle. We haven't been able to get to it because our major attacking ships are too big to get at it. However, we have been testing an experimental teleporter to directly teleport asteroids to the station, and so far it's working well.
