RE: busdriving - If a52 visited Wheat they would have been redirected the same as everyone else, and so would have seen all of those people. Busdrivers don't selectively work or fail with certain roles as far as I know. Also apparently granola/Schazer might have been targeted but the point stands it's tied up there and not on Coldblooded.

I personally don't want to take a chance on n-o (less obvious lynch momentum against CSJ with only part of the day left, and also highest chance of being town among all of the three main targets) or waste a lynch on CSJ (likely 3rd party and still less chance of being scum than Cold) and vastly prefer the idea of scum being down a role earlier as soon as possible. I also wouldn't be surprised by scum having some sort of protective role (possibly on top of their redirector). Which means that Coldblooded basically needs to be lynched at this point unless you want to leave her for later when the scum protective role(s) are dead.

Wheat if you think me being town means Coldblooded should immediately be lynched, I'd like to hear what makes you think otherwise.

Okay, this is pretty interesting, I’d be willing to consider a switch vote to CB but only is Pala is totally sure that CB is a BadFriend. Only problem is, it’s really late in the day right now and not everyone might catch wind of this, and not enough people might switch to CB to get a lynch. This simultaneously might make the vote count for CSJ to dip below the needed amount to lynch and then NOBODY might get lynched today. That’s not very optimal for if we have two suspects...

if the item is not sane then palamedes flipping town would not at all clarify that, so the only route where waiting makes sense is if you suspect pala of being scum lying about it

also you are calling CB an 'isolated player' when she has had a lot more interactions than your prior favored lynch, nercania? She is just as good of an info source

Oh specifically I was told that Coldblooded was mafia, not a more generic 'scum' or 'bad'. This makes me feel pretty confident that she's not third party either. Regardless I'm checking if they would or wouldn't apply in my QT now since it completely slipped my mind and I'll let you all know when I find out.

I like info lynches and all but I find them always less preferable to actually killing scum. The more likely someone is mafia the less likely they are to 'conveniently' die in the night and the more suspicious and/or info giving bodies drop the better.

TBH, I'm a little grumpy on voting without having an item name to back this claim up, but I get it. And it's hard to see a gambit where Palamedes is Mafia, and is so set on getting a Townie killed at the cost of their own life, that such a gambit would make any sense at all.

For the record I'm well aware of the possible scenario where Palamedes is actually scum and is doing a goofy-ass 1-shot cop claim to get a free lynch and possibly get away with it but

a. that draws a *ton* of attention to him that will not peel off anytime soon, especially if CB flips town (going 'whoops, guess the item wasn't sane! D:' is not going to fly, I don't think) and even if not
b. Pala's play today has felt pretty town to me, CB's play so far has not
c. S'possible Pala is doing the ULTRA TEAMMATE BUSSING strategy, so if CB flips scum I'm definitely not calling Palamedes entirely clear but hey, I'll take a free scum lynch even if it's scum trying to hand me one :P
d. fundamentally it comes down to, do we trust palamedes here or do we not, and I think I'm willing to trust him given what's gone down so far.

Honestly still rubs me the wrong way how fast this turnaround went but... here we go! vote: coldblooded

Mirdini's points in post #610 makes me feel a little less rubbed

In that same quote CSJ is saying "[Coldblooded] may be onto something with Nercania-Orccelga", so that post is as much endorsing CB as a non-scum read as it is a scum read. That's also exactly the kind of waffly scum-pointing team'd scum do early in the game so they can disavow each other if one flips scum later.

Also because 20% of 19 is 3.8 the soft lynch is actually at 4, funnily enough.

We definitely have a plurality on CB now, though. Might as well not hammer it and see if she can get in and say something about the lynch before the year-guillotining happens.

The weird CSJ/Sunspider/Coldblooded triangle is one of the primary reasons I've wanted all three of them dead for a while, which is another reason why I preferred those lynches to n-o. It's seemed like (especially considering Coldblooded's smaller amount of posts) they're all drawn together fairly often and in a way that I've been trying to sort out but looks like potential alignment (but probably not between all three).

ac the reason the turnaround was fast is because it's a guilty, that's (almost always) a sure thing and lynching scum is the name of the game. As for why it's happening so late, I deliberately held back a the result as long as felt safe. If I had dropped it earlier in the day the lynch would have progressed more naturally as opposed to jumping off someone sure, but we would have lost a lot of the progress we made today on CSJ and others.
