Of Spectral Days and Eerie Nights - A Pokemon Let's Play

Yes, howdy indeed.

Hey everybody, it's SupahKiven, making yet another bad and totally original decision. Welcome to a Pokemon Blaze Black 2 Let's Play. Now you may have noticed (twice now, in fact!) that the game has been referred to as 'Blaze Black 2'. Don't worry, you're not hallucinating or anything. Blaze Black 2 (and Volt White 2) is a patch for Pokemon Black 2 ROMs that 'overhaul' the whole game. What it does is make all Pokemon from Gen 1-5 available in game, as well as redo movesets, make typing and move changes, and changed trainers' Pokemon line ups, making the game harder overall. It's really cool and you can read up on it here. I noticed I had a Black 2 rom sitting around on my computer, so I decided why not and started this up.

Now not only am I going to be a huge masochist and play this on challenge mode, but I'm also going to be making this a Monotype run. As you might have guessed from the title, I'll be running a team of all Ghost types. Alright! I also haven't actually ever played Black 2 or White 2 (even though I did play White), so by extension, this is also a semi-blind run of sorts. Oh my goodness. Anyway, enough of my explanations. Let's start, yeah?

(( Okay, but can I talk about this Lileep real quick? It had Solarbeam, which I managed to prevent by flinching it, but that wasn't the problem. The real problem was the fact that it had Synthesis. It took me a solid five minutes to take out this Lileep because right when I would get it down to red, it would somehow manage to bypass the paralysis, confusion, AND flinch and heal itself up to half health. Which meant I would have to pick it all the way back down with Joule's weak as hell attacking moves. Astonish was bad enough, but I had to resort to using Thundershock, which Lileep resists, after I ran out of PP for Astonish. Then I had to battle Nosepass with like, almost no PP in my attacking moves. This damn Lileep I swear. ))

(( Time for your scheduled post Gym Leader rant. Roxie's Whirlipede? Fuck that Whirlipede. That god damn thing has ruined Whirlipedes for me forever. Okay, not really but still. That Payback? When it crits it does like, 50 damage. You know how I know this? It happened too many times. I did this battle like ten times. The only reason Joule wasn't an absurd level by this video was because I didn't want him to be super overleveled, so I restarted a few times without saving. I also lost a couple of times against Roxie's Trubbish and Seviper because of a few embarrassing crits. Like, I feel like Roxie had cr1t h4x on or something because she landed critical hits like 90 percent of the time, it was absolutely absurd. Also, notice how lucky I got with her Seviper there. If it had used Sucker Punch, I would have been up the creek without a paddle. ))
