surely i don't know what you're talking about. i definitely know how to play this game. I've got my three attack dice right here.

RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
The Lasers immediately lash out in anger and self defense, blinding the Reactors and forcing them to set aside three random cards.

"NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. DISHONORABLE. UNACCEPTABLE. THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE DEAL. WE OFFER YOU A TRADE OF COLONIES FREE AND CLEAR AND YOU SPIT IN OUR NON-EXISTENT FACES INSTEAD? UTTERLY DESPICABLE.

THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING. COME TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE ALONE AND CAN STILL WORK OUT A DEAL THAT BENEFITS THE BOTH OF US. REFUSE AND BE DESTROYED. INVITING ANY OTHER ALLIES TO YOUR CAUSE WILL BE TREATED AS AN ACT OF WAR AND WILL BE DEALT WITH AS SUCH.

DO NOT TEST THE LIMITS OF OUR FRIENDSHIP AGAIN."

A party is more fun with friends, dude.
#30
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
"So be it then. In that case we invite the Yin-Yang, Tourist, and Voyager to join us in glorious victory."
#31
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Sorry, I should have realized not to update late at night.

Hyperspace gate is aimed at B, according to command on chat.

Blinding happens soon (I forgot about that too sorry), I am a bit busy at the moment, sorry.

Inviting people and accepting invitations is on hold until then, since blinding happens before the invitations happen.
#32
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Okay blinding happened.

Reactor told me on chat that they still invite everyone, and I assume Laser isn't changing their minds about who they invite.

You may proceed with accepting/declining/yin-yang power using.

RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
War really doesn't sound like a good time to us, but a party on the other hand...

One ship of thrill-seeking tourists from planet C will join the Laser "party force".
#34
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
An invitation?
An invitation.
It seems that both parties have decided to invite us.
Then let us even the odds.

I will use my power to ally with both sides. One ship from planet A joins the Laser, and one ship from planet E joins the Reactor.

RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
2 ships from Planet C and 1 from Planet D will join the Laser. I hope we can still be friends with the Reactor, but Laser sounds a lot more confident in this battle than Reactor.

And just to confirm Jac's joining the Laser and not the Reactor? The flavor's throwing me a bit.
#36
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Yeah, I would like to have a confirmation on that too, as the Reactor was the one who was talking about Parties, so I am confused too.
#37
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
You're right, I'm confusing myself with Laser and Robust Laser somehow.

Uh I guess I meant I'd join the Reactor side.
I would say "I typed Laser so I should stick with that in case it influenced anyone's decision" but Gatr allied with both sides and the Reactor still has the fewest ships.
#38
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
My decision was uninfluenced. Go with Reactor if you want.
#39
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
HYPERSPACE GATE
Offense: 3, Allies:1,1

Defense(LaserB):4,Allies:,1, 3

Looks like the defense is rather bolstered!

Post your chosen encounter cards in your QT.

If you want to use interrupting things, post them here, and if it says "Before encounter cards are selected", the people will get to repick their cards.
#40
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Offense: Attack13 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 18

Defense: Attack12 + 4 + 1 + 3 = 20

Very close! Anyone wants to play any cards/powers to influence this?
#41
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Looks like this is not the case! The offense and allies go to the warp.

Reactor powers don't activate, as Reactor was a main player and not an ally or uninvited player.

Reward giving time! Each reward must be exchanged for either retrieving a ship from the warp, or to draw from the cosmic deck.

In order (timing order, starting from offense and then going clockwise):
Due to the Yin-yang's power, the Reactor receives one reward.
Voyager receives three rewards, for sending three ships to aid the Defense.
Yin-yang gains one reward, for sending one ship to aid the Defense.

Defensive allies should also send their ships to any of their colonies.

RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
The Laser shakes its incorporeal head in despair but also smugness at the same time somehow.

"A senseless waste of life. We hope that next time you will the wise decision and be more receptive to our offers of friendship."
#43
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
All 3 ships will return to planet E to spread the word of their journey.
#44
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
The Reactor is kind of hungover and can't totally remember what happened last night, but at the very least managed to find one of their lost sets of spaceship keys, so that's good.

(Retrieve ship, put on B)

RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Draw a card and move the ship onto A.

RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Let's retrieve one ship to colony C.

Don't really know how they ended up in the warp but that's the problem with most of these foreign travel guides. Why can't they just write all of their directions in plain Tourist, a language we can understand?
#48
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Ship returned! Time for DESTINY. Red is drawn.

Cruise ship moves either back to the Green System, or to the Purple System. Can not disembark in either of them but if you end up in the Green system you can also load up more ships on it, or remove ships from it. In the Purple System you can send a postcard home if you wish.

After that, it will be LAUNCH time.
#49
RE: Cosmic Encounter - PBP: Deep Space Water
Let's go on to Purple, it can hardly be time to head home yet.

And then we're going to send a ship from A and a ship from E who are real eager to establish a permanent party colony on the perpetual imagine dragons disco planet (Reactor D), he'll yeah.

(Think you're confusing Laser and Robust Laser again)
