"Okay, well, while we're here, I guess you can meet my dad." Reginald simply glides down the timeline, ignoring the plethora of ghosts.

"YOU PIECE OF SCRAP! I SHOULD NEVER HAVE TRUSTED YOU! GOD, AIs, AM I RIGHT GUYS?

"You abandoned me!" "Learn to dodge!" "The human body can't take that many gravities!" Cries of anger follow the flying pair.

"Not the most popular mech, I see."

Graveside manner, an important skill.

"Yeah, well, jealousy and all that. They just couldn't take the heat - sometimes literally. Often, actually."

"So, this is the guy!" One man seems to stand alone, with a surprisingly long stretch of road unpopulated by dead behind him. "Acies Hawk!"

"Howdy." The ace pilot tipped his ill-fitting hat. "Been a while, Reggie."

"Hey Acies. This is a gravedigger person. Very serious."

"Well I can see how you'd get along. You were always a serious li'l killing machine."

"Greetings, shade."

A nod of respect, for the unburied.

"Serious? Me? Hardly. Wait, was I?"
"Oh sure. Always with an eye on the regs."

"Huh. How about that. Anyways, nice chat. I'm gonna head back to the factory-memory and get some engines upped."

"Reginald, if you want to strike back, wing me back to my terminus. The entity cannot stop me twice."

"YYEEEEEEEEEESS!!!" Reginald's voice roars along with his engine. He is having a blast!

Lightspeed is too fast, even for that jerk.

Less than a blink of a sensor later, the light. The dracoshade.

"This is how I was meant to fly, by the way. Fuck that little pee shooter." His voice is drowned by the roar of his comically sized engine.

With great speed comes poor maneuverability. Reginald zips right past the great shade, requiring a long arc to swing back around.

"You seek rightful vengeance. Go forth, and destroy what would pervert the course of nature.

"He said it, let's blow that pervert up!

Catarath sighs.

"No respect for the undead..."

That said, unholy power surges.

As do the engines, blessed by proxy.

"All right, well hop right in. We're gonna go in, and fast!"

"Okay, so you've got one button to push. It's red. It shoots. It's, uh, yeah. Special bullets now? Something like that."

Reginald launches forward with unbecoming speed, carrying the pair towards the Pithy. "Do the shooting!"

The bullets rebound off the Host, pelting it with unholy energy at the same time. With a wave, the god-thing rips Reginald's wings apart.
