So I was minding my own business, fiddling with Steam to figure out an impromptu way of bookmarking favorite reviews when I stumbled upon this.

This appears to be a visual novel that is based on IRL events. Just read the description and the most helpful review so far giving details to English players. From what I can gather, this appears to be developed in protest to an under-the-rug malpractice and the relevant authorities don't seem to care much about videogames so this title still exists. Although the language is chinese, I think they added english subtitles?

It's a bit dark, but that's a British understatement. I wonder how much of it is fictional, how much of it is real but in the past, and how much of it is real and still existing.

So I'm back home and got my license officially translated (50 bucks) and applied at the NZTA to convert my Japanese license into a New Zealand one (another 50 bucks), a process that takes two weeks apparently and I'm forced to be a learner driver (i.e. non-driver, because you need supervision on a learner's license and being able to use a car myself was the whole point of getting it) until the new one comes in because of some dumbass loophole where I gotta abide by my 6-year old NZ learner license. Irritating and expensive, but at least there's no additional tests involved

I'm also trying to enrol for a distance learning horticulture course, but I was sent an email telling me to send a copy of my passport. Which is cool and alright but the email didn't tell me in the message that there's this cover letter they attached which they'd also like stuffed in the envelope. Which I went and bought this morning and addressed to the polytechnic.

It's a fuckin good thing I checked because the cover letter tells me to send shit to a different address! And now I'm at an internet cafe and can't print the cover letter cuz Gmail won't let me sign in without texting verification to my now-disconnected Japanese number!!! Fuck technology!!!!!!!

I just heard a loud battle between a cat and unknown animal (it didn't make a noise, but there was lots of fierce rustling).

The noise went from the left of my window to the right, judging by the volume. Then, right in a peak loudness, everything went silent.

I didn't hear any dying noise, but the silence was so sudden!

What should I do? I am definitely not going outside tonight, but it was very disconcerting and... I really don't want to go outside tomorrow to see a dead cat.
