SpoilerYou bring up an idea. Float it. Yeah.
For it to get voted on, it should have a number. You can give it a number when you float it, or someone else can give it a number if you just threw it out there not really seriously but they take it seriously.
For a vote on that idea to take place, it must get to a quorum of at least 8 people in bold saying they want a vote on idea number whatever. For example
VOTE #28. This isn't saying you want a vote for it, just you want a vote on it to occur. You should help the quorum take place even if you don't want it because then if it does happen, you can make it known that people don't want it and it won't have to be a pressing issue.
Once quorum is reached, then for the next week (from the minute the 8th quorum vote is reached) anyone can type
YES ON #28 or
NO on #28. Or multiple choices if it's a multiple choice vote.
BLUE on #28 at the end of that week, winner wins. You can decide if the election will be a borda vote or something else if you want. It's up to you.
Some exceptions to the above (rule change
Petey):
- a. Voting will be open for week from post, unless an option has <85% of a vote (of at least 7 votes) after a day, in which case QUICK MOVEMENT status will be bestowed upon it.
- b. A smaller 3 vote quorum is all that's needed for actions involving moving things from whatever the active SUBFORUM IDEAS TOPIC is into a designated dumping grounds thread. After Quorum is established, as long as no one has any good reason to oppose the thing being moved after a week of consideration, it'll be done.
If an idea wins, it goes on the rules list or that action get performed by me. If not, then don't vote on it for at least two weeks.
Remember don't cramp up the process by metagaming or metavoting. Like we're all people here and this voting isn't like a pumpkin growing competition, where you want to see who grows the largest pumpkin. This is cooperative and we want to have the most fun possible on the web, to each by their need and from each by their ability blah blah

And that's how a bill becomes a law.
