Looks like it's some kind of rebreather. You see straps for putting it on your back, but the mask doesn't look like it'd stay on unless you were holding it with one hand.

You're pretty sure this is a hookshot, but you can't explain why. You'd need to use both hands to aim it accurately.

You just pull the third item out of the crate, since you've already looked at the other two. Now, you're not entirely sure, and you may be wrong, but you think it's just a perfectly ordinary shovel.
