It was clearly (I thought) explained that the monuments in the Hall of Ancestors are monuments to the dead, not to the exiled or missing. The inscriptions typically give the name of the elf, and the manner of his/her death. Few of the monuments are deliberately constructed; instead they usually appear magickally at the moment of the elf's demise. Lord Randall's tombstone says "POISONED" which is borne out by the ancient folk ballad concerning him. It's unlikely that he could have faked his own death well enough to fool the ancient magick that operates the Hall.

SpoilerPhotobucket is a disaster. I understand they have bills to pay, servers and bandwidth cost money, but the way they tried to extract funds from their users was clumsy & distasteful. Their actions probably contributed to the decline of Forum Adventures as a storytelling genre. I was paying a few dollars a month to get "ad-free" but there were still ads on it sometimes. Then, when they wanted to charge extra money for image hosting, I decided it was too much to pay to host images for something I was doing for fun, not making any money on - especially considering that their service was always clunky, slow, and unreliable. At the price they were asking, it needed to work a LOT better than it did. So I canceled my ad-free subscription. A free account under the new rules is limited to a small number of images (I don't know how many, but it's WAY less than I had saved there). I didn't want my images to be removed randomly so I went through and manually deleted until my account was in compliance with the new limit. The pictures that remain are the ones I thought were most important.
