Uilos: .....
Derrick: Maybe if it gives you the gift, you can soothe the flowers here.
Uilos: I don't think that will work.
Uilos: But we can try it if you want.
Derrick: Why don't you think it will work?
Uilos: I've already received one gift already when the choice was given.
Uilos: I feel like, because we chose to receive your realm's gift, it possibly made this one out of reach forever.
Uilos: .... I feel the same would have been for your realm, if I had decided to come here first as well.
Uilos: But, I have no evidence that this is true.
Uilos: If you think I should try, then maybe I will...
Derrick: Hmm...

You're not sure, but you think Uilos' uncomfortable experience with the flowers has him a bit spooked. If there's a chance he can gain favor with Locad it might be worth the adventure, however Uilos does already have a gift and already promised you his trinket. Greed could come at a steep cost.
