it's not exactly a house, it's a submarine
a fully self-sufficient submarine, powered by energy from deep-ocean vents. if there are none in the immediate area when you're running low on power, which is pretty rare as you have enough battery power for a good 3 day's time, double if you are on low-power mode (turning off systems for plant growth, heating, and other non-criticals), you can always go up to the surface for a solar charge, though this usually takes a day or two to get to full charge. you've had some close calls with some ships when you were in a state like this. occasionally you go up top onto land but most of the time you are underwater.
