Yep, this is it. Unless I’ve royally screwed up the mechanics (please tell me if i have), this is how I imagine the scenario will go:
EVENT! We know for sure this person is scum (through cop or other means)!! We start piling on the votes, but scum sees what’s happening and puts a vote into Wheat. Because Wheat gets lynched if they have a non-zero amount of votes that is not the majority, they’ll get lynched if people keep piling votes onto the scum. Scum will not budge their vote if they know what’s good for them. At this point, two options:
1. Let Wheat get lynched
2. Save Wheat, 180 and pile votes into them so that they have the majority
1) Wheat is lynched - night phase - scum gets to take another player. -2 town. This is only a temporary distraction from the real scum, but heavy loss nevertheless
2) Nobody is lynched - night phase - scum gets to take another player. -1 town, potentially infinitely until Wheat dies
Unless we reach hammer before accused scum smartens up (unlikely) both are Doomed Timeline scenarios.
Doing this now prevents this from happening later.
