You hit yourself with the Primer, in frustration. You now have an additional bruise and it hurts like buggery.

Great job making things worse, smarty!

You'll need to leave the room to find some ice. You might be able to get some in the mess hall. Alternatively, there's the medicae room.

You turn the Primer to a random page, page 12 to be precise. There is an image of a rather outlandish mutant. You know enough about mutants to know they're usually a lot less subtle than having menacing needle-like teeth and a second head emerging from the neck, fringed with tentacles.

It may be trashy in parts, but most of the equipment sections are perfectly helpful. For a fresh recruit at least.

You quickly flip through to the prayers at the back of the Primer and recite the Prayer of Adulation.
"O Immortal Emperor: have mercy upon us, miserable unworthies that we are.
O Master of the Galaxy: Protect your flock from the alien.
O Keeper of the Light: Guide our darkened path with Your radiance

We are your warriors and we are servants to Thee,
W stand free from blindness of heart,
Free from hypocrisy, vainglory and deceits,
But captive to hatred, malice and anger,
To the filth, the alien, the heretic.

By Thy agony and bloody sweat; by The Golden Throne and Thy Death,
By the destruction and re-emergence as the god of men,
Keep and strengthen us, we who fight for Thee."

There are no Xeno scum on-board that you know of and the only person that's heretical is probably the Rogue Trader whose ship you're on. Personally, you're not one to pick fights with Rogue Traders when the likely outcome is being vented into space.

Fortunately, the planet you're heading for is full of Xenos creatures. Unfortunately, said creatures are incredibly deadly killing machines. That said, it's always a good idea to check the lower decks for stowaways.
