Derrick: Sorry, do I really look that bummed?
Garreth: Not really, but I'm good at picking up on the little things.
Garreth: What's on your mind?
Derrick: ... I had a blow up at my sister.
Derrick: I guess I just heard one too many lies and just had a meltdown.
Derrick: She ended up crying because of it, I did too.
Garreth: ....
Derrick: I just can't believe she didn't think she could trust me with the truth.
Derrick: She had so much hidden from me, or really not described enough to me.
Derrick: I mean really, the things she told me, I feel like I already knew them. I just didn't want to believe it, you know?
Garreth: Yeah, I know.
Garreth: You do that quite often.
Derrick: It's only been a week, are you sure?
Garreth: ... To me a least. While it maybe a short time for you it feels much longer for me.
Derrick: ... Well anyways, yeah.
Derrick: Could you keep a secret?
Garreth: Of course, dude.
Derrick: ..... In that moment I got very angry.
Derrick: I'm not an angry person. But what had come over me was such a passionate feeling, I could only describe it as the colour red.
Derrick: In that moment, I swear If I didn't leave then and there I would have seriously hurt her.

Derrick: YES, in the park the other day!
Derrick: "Don't do anything crazy".
Derrick: I hadn't thought of it until I left to calm down.
Derrick: But the thoughts in my head, man.
Garreth: But you love her, don't you?
Derrick: Of course! And I always will.
Derrick: But the thing about love and trust is it has to be both ways to work.
Derrick: Finding out she's been behaving this way just had me think terrible things so suddenly.
Garreth: You mentioned in the park that when it comes to her, you get fired up.
Derrick: Yeah, I really do.
Garreth: ....
Garreth: Do you want my advice?
Derrick: Sure.
Garreth: I'd like to think this brought her down a notch or two from the pedestal you had her on.
Garreth: Now, you should really try and understand and find what makes you happy, instead of leaving that up to others, like your sister.
Garreth: Essentially, put yourself on that pedestal.
Garreth: You're awesome, and I'm proud you had restraint during that moment. Surely it hadn't come easy.
Derrick: ........ Geez Garry, you're making me feel embarrassed.
Garreth: Seriously, If you just focused on yourself, you'd come to see what I mean.
Garreth: That's all.
Derrick: Thanks a lot. It helped.
Garreth: Yeah, no problem.
