Violas are a wonderful instrument that no modern composer has any idea how to read their clef, let alone write music for them. Hence, the majority of today's music features them as either a third violin part (as evidenced by frequent shifting onto the non-existent E string) or as an instrument seemingly incapable of playing more than one note (as evidenced by there being ONE FREAKING NOTE).
