things that are good right now

So I was trying to to track down the sample at the beginning of the following, for reasons that might become clear in, like, a week or so at this rate:

...and I got incredibly lucky with my googling, as a quote reproduced on someone's Instagram led me directly to it; a "stereophonic sound" demonstration from 1958! (at ~5:21, since the "quiet!" is sampled later on in the track, and then the sample I was looking for comes directly afterwards):

But then at 7:32, I get a lovely surprise - the sounds from the start of this:
