RE: The Wander Island Incident - A Mafia Game
Apologies for the long-ass delay, I think an exam I've got in two days has kind of temporarily sapped all of my creative drive. After Tuesday I should be feeling much better (regardless of how that goes), so I'm going to go ahead and give myself a deadline of Saturday August 18th, 9PM CET for getting the rolepms for this game out. If I hit it that should have the game starting around Sunday August 19th, 9:45 pm CET.

RE: The Wander Island Incident - A Mafia Game
21 figures are gathered in the main chamber of Monomin’s Administrative Core when the lights dim and the main briefing monitor snaps to life to reveal a shadowy and obviously important figure.

[Large red letters spelling PRE-RECORDED EMERGENCY BRIEFING #6: INFILTRATION are painted across the bottom of the screen]

*Tap* *Tap*

Is this thing on?

Yessir.

Very well, begin the recording.

Uh, respectfully, we already have, sir.

Oh for fuck’s sa-… nevermind.

Welcome, remaining Monomin personnel. You are seeing this recording because Monomin’s security has been critically compromised by an unknown force. Due to the Catastrophic Lockdown Protocols in place, relief cannot approach Wander Island until this force has been dealt with by you, the personnel still present in the facility.

As per Monomin Research Complex Regulation 211.1, this means you all have a maximum of two weeks to eliminate elements hostile to Monomin and reestablish contact with Central Command before the Catastrophic Lockdown Protocols expire and Monomin’s reactor detonates. Those of you who are actual staff should hopefully be familiar with Monomin Research Complex Advisory 43C: research teams are to be kept separate unless room for fruitful collaboration is identified by respective department heads. You may also be familiar with Monomin Research Complex Advisory 62A: individuals may not be who they seem, due to an unfortunate outbreak of shapeshifting mutagens in Incident 362.

These advisories, as well as other considerations, mean that we and you cannot trust any one of you to be loyal to Monomin in these circumstances. Thus, to guarantee a diversity of viewpoints, ensure that all employees are treated fairly, and guarantee facility security, elimination will proceed by group consensus.

As dictated by Monomin Research Complex Regulation 211.2, you will assemble each day to determine one among you most likely to belong to the infiltrating force and strap them into the Monomin Emergency Ejection Railgun. In a Catastrophic Lockdown Protocol, the Railgun is the only way off the island. It has been calibrated to fire its payload directly to Central Command territory near [garbled static]. Exhaustive testing has proven such payloads will arrive intact enough for intel to complete necessary identification procedures. Any information gained from these investigations will be forwarded to this console.

Each of you will be assigned quarters connected to the Administrative Core at random by the central computer. When the assembly is not meeting, you are to remain in your respective quarters. Disobeying this order will result in immediate termination following this incident. At this point I am mandated by national law to disclose that Central Command is not capable of remotely tracking your whereabouts or movements in the Research Complex.

We have every confidence that you, loyal Monomin personnel, will triumph in this incident as you have in so many incidents before this one. Find and eliminate those threatening our engine of progress and let Monomin return to Ensuring A Brighter Future For Humanity™.

[The recording cuts off, and the lights in the room slowly return to their usual brightness]

Day One: Incident Report

The lights go up, and the 21 members of Monomin’s latest Incident assembly warily eye one another. Apparently, anyone is a possible suspect, no matter how long they claim to have served Monomin or how seemingly legitimate their credentials. It will take careful deliberation, incisive interrogations and a dash of luck to determine who is truly part of the insidious INFILTRATORS seeking to bring the institution most of you are nominally loyal to down.

There’s nothing for it but to get to work.

DAY ONE: START

Day One will end in 72 hours, so at 10:00 PM CET on Wednesday, August 22nd.

I suspect he's been replaced by a bear in a person suit. Is there anyone here who's an expert on bears and can confirm my suspicions?

This is a facility of science and research, for the express purpose of seeing beyond the scope of even the known future. Vote: Solaris for, by admission, not being a nerd, thus, not being qualified to be on the premises.
