24 hour Comic Day

24 hour comic day has rolled around again! This year, it's taking place officially on october the 4th, the first saturday of the month. You can start whenever you want, but its more fun to do it at roughly the same time as everyone else :v

The challenge consists of drawing 24 comic pages in 24 (consecutive) hours. You're also supposed to post regular progress of how you're going!

I'll most likely be starting at noon NZ time (so just over 8 hours from the time this is posted) and i'm planning on making 24 mini comics, unless i come up with some grand full comic idea. So far i have 10 mini books made up and ready to draw in!

So yeah join me in driving yourself crazy, folks

OKAY I SLEPT IN so i am calling my start right now, at 5:35pm nz time. LETS DO THIS

Update 1: I’ve designed characters and a plot for the first story, and thumbnailed about half of it. It’s a wee 16 page thing, so i’ll probably have a shower and dinner soon and then draw it all up after that?

1 hour in and i’m pretty convinced i won’t have time to do 1 comic an hour. I’m going to aim for a more modest goal of finishing the 10 books i have made.

Almost at the halfway point. Started inking in earnest now

All 16 pages are now pencilled, and 11 roughly inked. I just need to ink the remaining 5 in the next hour and a half to stay on track!

We're not going to talk about foreshortening okay
