I recently finally discovered Dota 2 because I am perennially behind the times, and have been playing a lot of it since then! I've mostly been doing bot matches by myself or with Ed, but have hooked up with Paranoia too. The reason I'm making this thread is because I've noticed that a fair few of us eagle timers play or played the game, and I think it'd be fun to get together occasionally and defend some ancients. And for all the people who don't play yet... the game's free, get in on it while I still suck so you don't have to feel bad while you're learning!
Would anybody be interested in the occasional scrimmage, or in a recurring event a la Eaglefort 2 games? Or just in telling me which heroes suck (spoiler, it's all the ones I like)?

I might be willing to jump in some time, but I have a friend who's trying to get me back into League of Legends right now, so that's likely to be my moba of choice for a little while.

Yes all the heroes you like su*shot*
But yeah, I'd be down for some 5-stacking or even some 5v5's! or whatever.
I...seldomly play games with ed or mirdini (like once or twice)
I prefer to play support, usually Witch Doctor, Ogre Magi or Jakiro

Dota 2 is both the best and the worst game, frequently both within short periods of time.
Much like Ed I'm up for Dota-related activities including but not limited to telling you why buying wards and teleport scrolls all the time is the Right Thing To Do and then realizing I should probably mention What Those Things Are In The First Place.

Mirdini has kindly created a guild for us! Anyone who plays even occasionally should let us know so we can add you in; it'll make hooking up for occasional matches all the easier, as well as communicating.

I am bad at MOBAs in general but I do occasionally dip my toes in the Dota 2 pool.
I'm mostly up for bot matches since I literally just began playing not long ago, but if you wish to drag me into the hell that is PvP feel free to do so.

Don't worry, me too! I literally haven't been playing for a week yet, and Ed and Mirdini have yet to strangle me for not knowing how to ward or constantly inviting ganks.

I retried playing litterally several days ago playing botmatches, mostly alone or against my little brother. I may drop by once I feel like I'd help more then harm.

Honestly, bot teammates are terrible and the more humies the better.

For serious. I'm playing against hard bots whenever I'm practicing by myself, and by the end of the match I'm usually five or six levels ahead of the rest of my team just because the bots make terrrible decisions and feed like crazy.

We should try out co-op bot matches. People playing those games are generally amicable and even if they suck they're better than the feeder bots.
Playing against bots is only good for learning the basics and the heroes anyway, warding isn't even worth it against them since they 5 man all the time.

I'm all for that idea. How about saturday or sunday before conga lessons? or if there's enough people that don't work 9-5 mericatimes maybe some other day of the week during the day (Or in the evening tho then I couldn't come). If people are for it I'll make a spreadsheet like the tf2 one (or we just use that one)
