Poll: Why is poll options a different page than thread options?

Okay so QUALMS WITH THE SYSTEM Vol. 1

First off, Polls can't get edited. I can't fix anything in the poll anymore it is forever stuck. I was gonna add another option about how the calculations for the amout of percents were off, but now I can't.

Point two: the calculations for the percents are off. Currently they are being calculated on base of votes, but in reality multiple choice questions should be based on people. My first vote for options two and four should have had 2 and 4 both on 100% because everyone who voted on the poll picked that option.
