Sometimes, you're going through TV Tropes and you finally decide you've had enough of it. Now, you decide to play around with the tropes in a different way. This is the Tropefia. This is a game of sorts where you pit some tropes against some other tropes and see which wins. But of course, it's a game of intelligence. A game of wit. A game of deception. A game of life, or death.

Firstly, how do you join this game?

• This is a Pick Your Poison mafia game. This means that your role will be determined by your input.
  
• When joining, shoot a post into this thread. Go ahead and say "in" or something along those lines and I'll add you to the playerlist. Afterwards, you should PM me 3 tropes you would like as your role. I will pick one of them, and make a role out of it.
  
• Don't choose tropes that aren't well-developed. A trope doesn't need to have 100 examples, but it should have a good explanation of what it is.
  
• Be aware that only one person can have a given trope. If everybody gives me the same tropes, only 3 of them are going to be satisfied.
  
• Also, be aware that if the game needs more mafia or more town, I may interpret a "heroic" or "villainous" trope as not of the associated alignment. To best prevent this, try to give me a good variety of tropes.
  
• Finally, this is a game that I will try to balance as well as possible. Given that it is a PYP, that may not be perfect, but it will not be a clusterfuck.
  

Of course, it isn't a Mafia game without rules. These rules based off the berurules.

• Massclaims are bad and not fun. Don't do them.
  
• Days will be roughly 5 days long, and nights will be roughly 2 days long. I will post clear deadlines as to when night becomes day and when day becomes night. If you put in an action after the night deadline has past, I will accept it so long as I haven't gone processed actions yet. So, moral of the story: get your actions in on time or risk not having them happen.
  
• Please bold your votes when voting. They won't be counted if they aren't.
  
• Communication regarding the game will be done via your quicktopic unless it is urgent.
  
• Don't edit or delete posts. That's modkillable.
  
• No ciphers please.
  
• After you die, you can make one post that contains no information about the game.
  
• Don't post in the thread during the night.
  
• As always, even if I am planning to balance this game, bastardry is always a possible thing, though nothing extreme. No changing alignments, no jesters, etc.
  
• Multiple factions might be a thing. Might not. Depends on the tropes.
  
• Every player should be able to make at least one post a day. If you can't, let me know and we'll figure something out.
  
• You should be playing to at least one of the following two things: A. to having fun, and B. to win.
  
• Don't fake day-activations.
  
• If there has been a day-activation, don't post in the thread until the event has passed.
  
• Don't copy and paste from the QTs.
