perhaps the three color metrics can be reasonably taken as stats (shade (lightness vs. darkness), saturation (greyness vs. brightness), hue (which color it is, could be separated along RGB or CMY but RGB is slightly more reasonable given we are viewing on monitor screens. that or RYB if Para is silly)
