"How can I come up/ Sittin'/ How can I come up/ Sittin'/ How can I come up/ from the inside lookin' out/ Sittin'..." is a seriously propulsive opening for DJ Screw and it leads right into two consecutive career highlights.

I love songs that sound like Remain In Light outtakes, of which there are very few, even counting the actual outtakes, because it's hard to pull off. This one is light on the crazy but heavy on the funk. LCD Soundsystem proves themselves to be Exactly My Shit time and time again. Bonus 2000s dance-punk:

EPMD (and E in particular) can either feel like they're not trying at all, or like everybody else is trying too hard.

great chorus, bassline too, and the drums and synth/guitar stabs (almost always in-sync) help it shuffle

I finished listening to all the Parliament and Funkadelic albums up to the dissolving in 1981. That means it's time for P-FUNK POWER RANKINGS:

4. Funkadelic — Free Your Mind... And Your Ass Will Follow (1970)
3. Parliament — Mothership Connection (1975)
2. Funkadelic — Maggot Brain (1971)
1. Parliament — Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome (1977)
