for some reason i think leaving is the only thing that can be "done" about my situation but there's nowhere to actually "go"

adjusting to it is basically giving up, and that's what i do. i give up.

But you can adjust temporarily! Just enough so you can hang in there until you can GO when the situation changes or you find somewhere to go to, you don't have to do it immediately. If there is something you enjoy doing, whatever it is, do it and cherish it, practice it, make love with it, immerse yourself while everything tries to drag you down.
