That's not even remotely what I said.
The problem you are having here is that you fail to realize that other people do have the capacity to equate both things as "offensive". I never said the one-dimensional character wasn't offensive. Just that the multi-dimensional one given the same sexist aspects would be far worse.
And yeah, a black character who's given character and then found to voraciously gobble down watermelons and say "massa" and not have the ability to swim would be ten times worse than that, because there gives an implication that REAL people do those things. Both things are bad, but the one who is written to be a human being is infinitely more jarring.
