Did anyone mention how King, owners of Candy Crush Saga, successfully trademarked the word Candy yet?
Or how they are also pursuing legal action against indie games that have the word "Saga" in their titles? Even ones with a more faithful use of the meaning of the word Saga than the one used by King themselves, as the game in question actually is a medieval prose narrative with Old Norse or Old Icelandic themes
(These studios they are targetting you may note, lack adequate funds to mount a strong legal defence)
what a wonderful system, I'm glad the Old Norse themed game I'm employed to write went with a one word title, we easily could have fallen into the Saga trap ourselves...
