In a recent programming assignment, I had to make a thing where you herded a flock of sheep. Turns out tuning a congregating mass of unruly semi-autonomous agents to be manageable or even fun is hard as holy hell. I can see why Lemmings is about playing God; it’s just about the only thing I wanted to do with those dumb simulacra by the end.
