Lets look at a list of all the items in Thunderpaw's inventory.
Now lets remove all the pointless fluff items picked up for the sake of personal plot and monologue.
We'll then remove everything purchased with cash, as Chim has been so careful as to make sure everyone gets an even amount. Then remove everything from the first act where it was a team of one and we are left with this list.
This is all the combat equipment Thunderpaw has taken from the loot pool over the course of the past two acts.
Suffice to say, Thunderpaw's "Loot Hogging" is a very tricky subject to poke at. On one side, he has been the sole bearer of all the plot crystals thus far and a ring noone can figure out why I keep. The truth of the matter is, Thunderpaw has yet to recieve any usable loot besides these three items in the course of a year of gameplay. The party has yet to stumble across any hammers for our rabbit to use. He's yet to come across any armor or defence items to keep him reenforced. Besides a ring that makes his STANDARD ITEM throwing hammers slightly more powerful, he's yet to gain any special loot besides the plot gems he only bears because he's been the only one to take initiative in seeking them.
Everyone has been slowly getting their bows and swords to buff their offence. People have been getting items to boost their magical skills or teach them new things. And Thunderpaw has been sitting there making speeches around tattered cloaks and broken heirlooms Chim never intended to be anything more than junk. And now you want to hold claim over the petty loot Thunderpaw has managed to claim from the party's spoils? Despite what you might think, each one plays a vital role to skills.
-Aven'sera boosts the power of buff spells by 75%, directly boosting Blade of Light's friendly fire buff and the Sigil of Restoration's restoration. In addition, it has been Thunderpaw's job to get Bohw out of hellbent before she murders the party. If it wasn't for wise shop picks, that one time he didn't end it would have been fatal.
-The Ring of Hymm boosts Thunderpaw's speed, which allows him to do more damage with throwing weapons, such as the Blade of Light when used offensively and the Throwing Hammers I've been trying to make into a thing. On top of that, if I were to try and develop light-based magic based off of my affiliation with light techniques, the boost to affinity would directly help there.
-Samsouvra is reducing the cooldowns for my techniques, which have recently been rebalanced with higher cooldowns. This will hurt particularly hard the second I am forced to surrender this crystal in favor of someone else's abilities. As Thunderpaw is built to be the hard counter for spellcaster and leader-type enemies that splash the entire party with damage, keeping his abilities in-use serves as a key to survival.
I know how you may feel that Thunderpaw has been hoarding all the loot. Hell, he's king on useless items and spending money wisely on a variety of trinkets; on top of hogging all the secret plot! However, you currently ask me to surrender my few loot picks to party members that have taken the full haul of the spoils. My share has been and always will be fair, even if my trinkets seem to be the most adored. Perhaps down the road when we've found bunny armor and a new, shiny maul the option of splitting the plot crystals will be more viable. Right now, however, they're all he's ever taken and I will contest fully to their redistribution.
