Ahh, that makes a lot more sense. Part of it is that the light plays mean tricks on these stanky old wizard eyes... if you can’t see someone’s feet too clearly, that means they are a Japanese-style ghost it’s harder to get a sense of where they stand.

Also, I used to hang with some skilled cosplayers and they would have made a great Gogo given an impressive scarf collection like that (it’s not something you would want to wear to most cons, though).
