This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stuff

Didn't we used to have a catch all chatting style thread devoted exclusively to the topic of media (certainly inclusive of televisual programming and motion pictures, and perhaps other media which have at this moment slipped my mind)?

It was there that I wanted to voice opinions on a program I just watched called New Girl, or as I like to call it 'Tragically Quirky Girl and The Three Interchangable Morons'. I don't normally have such a strong dislike to a program straight out the gate. I tend to appreciate that pilot episodes are often the poorest episodes because they have dual purposes of setting up the overall situation and telling an entertaining story. But this program. It was bad, though perhaps not irredeemable until the very end where for some reason I am yet to fully fathom the three douchebags launch into an ill-conceived rendition of the chorus of 'I've Had The Time Of My Life' in the middle of a crowded restaurant, whereupon all potential credibility for the show is flushed down the drain.
