SpoilerAs a rule of thumb, I think good round length is 2-3 months. It gives people time to write while keeping unproductive rounds from continuing indefinitely. By this logic WR should last anywhere from 14 to 21 months. If this is applied in terms of all the grand battles, and assuming we're hoping for eight seasons, and a new battle starts up every other month then the All-star-All-star end all of grand battles will finish up TEN YEARS FROM NOW.
This is interesting in and of itself considering that people that participate all the way through (shit damn ten years?!) will have a decade worth of collaborative writing experience.[/tangent]
The actual round lengths though are completely determined by what the writers do. I like to judge all rounds by the first GB round that lasted ONE DAY and the poor guy that got kicked off because he hadn't LOGGED ON. He was almost there.
If we start having BLAZING FAST rounds with killer participation, then we may see rounds lasting one month, or even a few weeks. Though experience has shown that rounds tend towards a slower pace and more inactivity than a sudden burst of collective inspiration.
Point being, round deadlines are very flexible and if it seems like we need a bit more time to have a productive round then by all means we'll get it. Long rounds are like long reserves though. If there isn't any progress being made on it, they'll be nixed.
