"Oh man, I sure do love a happy ending." The Extravagant, completley ignoring the panicking, confused, and slithering away blobman known as Reuben, turned to ethereal camera and began a closing statement.

"Well ladies and gentlemen, here you have it, a great competition between some of the toughest, most powerful, and definitively most explosive warriors possible! We even had a few guest stars! Oh man that was great. After all of the cool sights, I just want you all to remember one little thing." The Extravagant reached into his pockets and grabbed another one of his t-shirts. "This kind of entertainment takes money. A lot of it. Going out and making sure that everything goes on with a hitch? Oh man, you don't know what kind of cash you need. What I am trying to say, is that we need money. Sure, the ratings were great and we might have gotten even, but let's be honest! We need more! And that is where you, the audience comes in! Just go find your local multiuniversal vendor and grab any one of the many incredible pieces of merchandise! You won't be disappointed!"

As The Extravagant continued his advertising ploy, Arckal and Shieldman were attempting to figure out what they would have to do in order to get their local omnipotent to set them free.
<font color="#398039">"Is this really a good idea?"

"There isn't another option. This way we can all go home, what happens to Reuben is less than important if we can get home safe."
"What about whatever brought us here? Couldn't that help us?"
"I still don't know what that was, it was just something weird. We've got to try to convince him to do it."</font>

"...I guess that really was a Phantasmagorical Scrimmage! Thank you ladies and gentlemen and goodnight." After the camera went away, The Extravagant began to pack up. After a while, he noticed that Reuben, Arckal, and Shieldman were all still there. "Oh hey you guys... are still here... what's up? Just about to pack, probably going to go somewhere else, heard about this place called Halerinia? Heard it's all the rage, has rolls or something." After stretching a little, he added "Wanna come with?"

This was the chance that they were waiting for. A slightly ecstatic Arckal almost leaped up to him. "Uhm, actually we would sort of like to go home? If you could just drop us off on your way to wherever that would rock!"

<font color="#FFCC33">"Hmmm. Sure I guess! Let me just finish up here."

As the purported omnipotent gathered his things, and the various contestants celebrated their eventual freedom, Arckal felt a tingling. It was an off sort, similar to one he had felt before, when he and Shieldman had moved to the viewing room. It took much too long to realize that the tingling wasn't coming from him...</font>

The virus that had lingered inside the heroic policing-bot since their teleportation to the viewing site of the Phantasmagorical Scrimmage had finally taken complete control of its host. The new Damocles grew two electric saws out from its hands and lunged at The Extravagant, leaving a trail of what could only be described as black corruption. Despite certainly being powerful, The Extravagant was still a cocky and reckless ass who didn't have a lick of foresight. He didn't see the attack coming if it had sent an RSVP. Slowly but surely the omnipotent was reduced into a blob similar to the very one he had tried to merchandise. As the grandmaster type died, the corruption around Damocles grew. The virus turned itself toward Arckal.

Arckal was not happy. Not only had his ticket out of the hell of a battle been revoked, he was also face to face with a former friend, now infected by some super powerful virus. He gripped the rocket launcher and aimed, but his attempts to pull the trigger were marred by his hope that maybe, just maybe, Shieldman would knock himself out of it, and set himself free. But, this wasn't a movie, and that wasn't going to happen. Instead, he dodged as a saw blade was extended in his direction.

<font color="#398039">Inside the depths of Shieldman's CPU, a different fight was happening. While the virus had been systematically removing Shieldman from his own body, the remaining bits and pieces were able to group together in an attempt to oust the virus from its body. While the fragments were unable to communicate with Arckal, and reassure him that they were doing their best to help him, they felt overwhelmed. The fragments of Shieldman, purified together into an essence of him, dealt blow after blow to the rampant virus. As each of their blows were parried, they carried on and on.

Despite the strain put on by the battle inside, Arckal was not having an easier time. Damocles remained much faster and more powerful than him, and he was reaching his limit. He jumped to the side and after a tumble saw that he had the perfect chance. Everything was set in place as if he had fallen with the launcher in a position that was simply grand. It was now or never. With a sorrow to his voice, Arckal pulled the trigger. "Au Reviour, Shieldman."</font>

As the rocket did what had to be done, Damocles rattled. Shaken by the sudden attack, the virus was unable to prevent Shieldman's fragments from dealing a final blow to him. The robots bits and pieces had won, purging the virus from his body.

However, that did not change the damage done. He was fragmented, badly damaged, in complete disrepair. He had fought valiantly, for justice, but his time was up. Arckal walked up to him, hoping that some sign of the Shieldman he knew would show up and say that everything would be alright. But he only saw the lights of the robot flicker off, as the black corruption removed itself and Arckal only stood as the robot ceased to be...
