The manikin was overwhelmed with information- it couldn't quite understand the entire bug yet. However, there was one thing it really wanted to try. A tiny pair of beetle compound eyes grew out of the manikin's head. They were hardly noticable, tiny black dots. However they brought the Manikin tides of information. For the first time, the manikin saw. Out of the bug eyes, a kalideoscope of images came onto it. The manikin was completely confused. What was happening? What was it seeing? What was seeing in the first place- the confusion stopped. Memories, instincts from the late bug's life had been trapped within the manikin. These were images-the reality that the manikin stood in. More focused now, it looked around. It quickly noted that trees, grass and Alex coresponded with the lives it had been sensing. They were containers for life, it realized.... Just like it itself was.
The manikin turned it's attention towards Alex. This was one of the moving lives from before, the ones of similar shape. The manikin wanted to eat him. The reasons for doing so were practically infinite. It stood up... And stopped completely. A fear set in... For some reason, it did not want to attack. One of the bug's instincts, the manikin realized. The instinct must have originated from the dead bug on the ground... It wasn't a powerful instinct, and the manikin knew it could ignore it- but it didn't. There was something that it didn't understand, here... The manikin decided to follow the instinct... For now. Backing away from Alex, the Manikin realized what it had been doing. Running away... Now that it had a working sense again, it ran onwards, tirelessly. It knew that whereever it was going, the lives would be larger and larger- somehow, the manikin looked forward to that.
