And I'm not sure how that would work, either. It's not only the hearing illusions that work this way, it's the visual and tactile and smell and taste ones, too. Would he see, feel, smell and taste what Vex is causing other people to experience, in addition to hearing it? I think it's fine the way you have it now.
Maybe I'm just uncomfortable with the idea because it sort of breaks my character. I suppose it could lead to some interesting interactions in the future. And I guess you don't have to explain how it works too thoroughly, there's something magical going on in Wolf anyway. Maybe his magical language understanding ability works the same way Vex's does, by hearing the things being said as others hear it, "post-processing". That would take care of the problems with the other senses too, as Wolf's power seems primarily linguistic. Does anyone else have an opinion?
Drakenforge Wrote:So Baphomet, is it okay for Wolf to tune in on Vex's telepathetic speaches as long as he is not aware of Wolf's presence?I dunno, man. It's like the entire point of the Vex half of this character is he can trick people into seeing, hearing, feeling, etc. things that aren't actually there. Having your character be able to tune in to the illusions Vex is using on other people kinda defeats the point.
And I said Wolf spoke man, not just one version of man's language. So it makes sense so long as you don't think about it too hard. Which a few people in this battle do frequently.
