When the music and blackness subsided, the six contestants, old and new, were greeted by gravel, wood, and stone.
"Welcome to the small town of Soñaire. It has all of the essentials, a bank, a general store, houses, law, just like any other town. Or at least, it did. As you can see, it is a bit on the barren side, no?"
The town's streets and buildings were all empty, without a soul in sight. The moss grew on the walls, weeds covered the sidewalk, nothing alive in the entire town except plant life and the six contestants.
"Where did everyone go you may ask? Well you see, something came and killed them all. Very sad and such a shame, because, you see, the people who lived here had a secret... nothing to concern yourselves with though, just your boring run-of-the-mill supernatural power, I'm sure you would all be much more interested in whatever killed them."
Don Itallio snapped his fingers and all of the contestants fell into a deep sleep, unknowingly entering the true Soñaire, and soon about to discover a world they could only dream of. "Well, you'll know soon enough."
"Buonanotte."

SpoilerThe town of Soñaire exists on two planes, there is the physical realm that has been rundown by a period without upkeep, and then there is the town of Soñaire that lives on in the world of dreams. The people who lived here did so in the second Soñaire, using their special ability to control and share their dreams to make life virtually perfect. Then, something came in to the town and killed them all, leaving behind only the remnants of their peaceful dreams, and maybe something else. As for this creature, it could have left after killing them all, fell into a deeper sleep, or still be lurking around, who knows?
Now, as for the setting, the contestants should initially be unaware that they are dreaming, seeing Soñaire as a small, abandoned, and slightly odd town at first, before slowly seeing that there is more to it, seeing whatever remains of the original residents of the town and the something. Maybe with time their dreams will affect the town as well, they'll figure out what's going on, want to take advantage of it, ~possibilities~. Have fun!
EDIT: Also, you all start off wherever you want, not where your characters were tossed asleep~
p.s. The spoiler under this one has very little to do with most of you.

SpoilerVisitors? The Broadcaster had made a few calls here and there, some less allowed than others, but visitors to him, both unannounced and more than one, was a bit new. As the two entered his cell, one a woman wearing a stunning dress and red hat and the other a shark(?) in a robot suit, he felt a chill.
"To whom do I owe the pleasure?" He was a bit nervous, as anyone would be, but he did his best to hide it.
"My name is Femme Itallio, this is Esquire. We are with an organization and have come here to strike a deal."
"A Deal? What sort of deal? I will remind you that I'm a bit tied up at the moment." The Broadcast made a weak chuckle and raised his hands before it faded and he sighed.
"Well, if all goes well, you won't be."
The Broadcaster looked up at the scarlet woman with a curious skepticism. He could not find any words.
"I'm sure that you are tired of being here and being snubbed, so I'll make this fast." She reaches behind her back and pulls out a group of folders and tosses it to his side of the table. "I'm sure you are familiar with a few of these."
The Broadcaster looked at the covers of each of the folders, noting that the first is labeled "LAST. THING. STANDING." and reached for it. As he opened the folder and read the files on himself and his contestants, he absentmindedly asks, "How did you get these?"
Esquire replies, his voice is quick, to the point, and factual, "That is unimportant. What is important is that these other battles have people our organization is interested in, and that you have made sure to keep tabs on them." He comes closer to The Broadcaster and whispers, "Yes, we know of your plans in regards to distribution after you are freed, although I wonder what would happen if they knew about it?"
[background=black][COLOR=white]Femme grabed back the folders before The Broadcaster saw any others, "Here is how it will go. You will give us information and access to the other battles, and in return we will give you the same to ours, adding it to your... season. Then, Esquire shall use his talents in the realm of law to have you freed and as a show of gratitude, you will grant us a favor, something to be discussed at another point in time."
"Er..." The Broadcaster looks at the two people before him, then down at his table, at his shackles, and at this situation. This is not what he wanted, not what he planned! He had been incarcerated, he had been humiliated, and for what? Was it worth it?
He thought for a moment, not of the troubles, but of the excitement, of what he stood to gain. Was it worth it?
Femme's eyes moved to Esquire's as his did to hers. Though they were silent, the message had gotten across, The Broadcaster was contemplating, thinking this through, but he would choose correctly. All it would take is a push in the right direction.
Esquire cleared his throat, "Mr. The Broadcaster, we are very busy people," he stared into the imprisoned man's eyes, almost as if to send a message, "Do you agree to our terms?"
A silence followed.
And then...
"Yes."
