Resolutions are only dumb if you remain absolute about them. I mean seriously who is going to exercise every day that is just silly.
But if you exercise generally more than you did previously well hey! that's pretty great! You managed to take the boost of the new year and transition it into a real life-change. If you don't, well then no worries, you're not any worse off and and arbitrary end of year goal just wasn't the thing for you.
I have a long list of resolutions that I know for a fact I won't be able to maintain, but that I believe would have a positive impact on my life if I did. They aren't anything new either, just a collection of little goals that I've had at various times throughout the previous year that I've managed to put all in one place. And I'll keep adding to it! They're things that I think that, even if I just did a little bit, my new year will be better off for it.
Also I was working so I couldn't go to the cool parties. hoo.
