I find that boiling tar acts as a highly effective bandage in a pinch. It is entirely sterile, disinfects the wound and when dried, seals out any filth that might cause an infection. Best of all, when the tar is removed, it will remove any hair, scar tissue or skin it was attached to, leaving the injured area looking fetus-fresh.
