I woke up this morning to find that one of dad's old friends had dropped by almost completely unannounced. I hadn't seen the guy in about ten years and from what I could remember, he was brash, boisterous and more than a tad eccentric. Turns out I'd recalled him quite accurately, but he's also got a lot of money, a keen interest in European history and a very good taste in safety helmets:
