"Well, I guess I was expecting a warmer welcome. Or perhaps a more hostile one, I dunno. My ancestors left the Kingdoms for a good reason, and I thought that maybe the Kingdom Laguz would be somehow... different. Either this great place or a really terrible one. But they're just, well, people? Focused on their own problems and troubles, don't even care about the descendants of their exiles."
They laugh nervously.
"And why should they? It's not like any of us have ever bothered them in a long time."
