The windows are too tall. What little the young lady can see seems normal.
>???: Go into your sister's room and see if she's in there. If she is, draw on her face, if not, wait for her to come back from the bathroom and give her a good spook.
The young lady tries to open the door to her sister's room to no avail. It's unlike her to lock it.
>She's probably pretending she isn't actually there so prank you when you enter. Ignore her and go back.
Perhaps the young lady's sister isn't in her room after all. Or in the bathroom.
>Turn off the small lamp and turn on the larger one. More light.
The young lady turns off the tiny lamp, but there is no change other than its dim light receding.

The young lady turns on the larger lamp, but its dim light just seems to deepen the shadows. Darkness engulfs her. It feels cool and damp, and makes her shiver.

She hears water flowing, dropping. And under the water ... a slithering noise.
>okay, a lot of things are not lining up correctly right now, the unsettling darkness, your hair not being braided when you went to sleep like you usually do, and, did that divided painting in the wall just change? perform a reality check, you might be dreaming

The young lady beholds the painting. It should be a quadriptych of some very uninspiring sights in Spain, not-

The young lady rushes back to the perceived safety of her room, but it's too late for that now.

The young lady's voice echoes hollowly in the cave. She must make haste to retrieve her body, before something else does.
