Barnabas cocked his head, ears twitching slightly. He gave Lys a long, studious look, then glanced away, and nodded smally.

He said, probably fairly clearly to Saya as a fellow laguz and travel-partner for a while, that he was more just being nice, and seemed concerned about Lys a little, than any real interest in the sword or praying.
